I had a constant headache all day accompanied by a persistent fever. I tried to ease the pain with some home remedies like putting a cold compress on my forehead and drinking herbal tea. However, despite my best efforts, the discomfort seems to be subsiding. Feeling drained and exhausted, I decided to call it a day and go to bed early, hoping a good night’s rest would help me recover.
Coincidentally, tomorrow marks the vibrant and joyous occasion of the Chinese New Year. Are you almost ready for New Year’s Eve dinner? Today I’m going to share a golden steamed bun, also known as Jin Yuanbao Baozi, which is perfect for Chinese New Year. After adding the pumpkin, the colour turns golden. It tastes mild and sweet. The ingredients are natural and healthy; the shape is cute and cute, and the nutritional content is richer.
A special mixture of wheat flour and yeast creates a soft and fluffy texture in the dough. This steamed bun will impress both adults and children. These steamed buns are not only a treat for your taste buds but also a feast for your eyes. Skilled craftsmen carefully process each loaf and shape the dough into a golden ingot, which symbolizes wealth and prosperity. It’s like holding a little treasure in your hands.
You will need:
300 Hokkaido pumpkin puree
5g dry yeast
5g baking powder
Hokkaido pumpkin puree is like a little piece of happiness in a can. It’s the perfect ingredient for so many delicious recipes.
Pour the pumpkin puree into a bowl and add the sugar, yeast and baking powder. Add flour and make a smooth dough. The mixed dough is rolled directly into a long strip without rising. Divide into small dough balls of the same size.
Then roll it into a cylinder shape. Flatten the sides with your palms. Fold one side up towards the centre. Then wrap the other side. You can put some water on it and stick the sides firmly.
Once everything is done, let the pot sit for half an hour and steam for fifteen minutes.
